Daily Prompt: There’s No Place Like Home
July 20, 2013
If you had the opportunity to live a nomadic life, traveling from place to place, would you do it? Do you need a home base? What makes a place “home” to you?
Photographers, artists, poets: show us MOVING.
Too many boxes
Too few clothes
Detained by locks, his
Weights are close
To being forgotten
Like the kids’ picture
Deframed; To have gotten
The TV led to a rapture
Which died when: the best
Sofa was left to the neighbors?
Time is a test
Of love and labors
Being settled, an illusion,
The proverbial carrot;
Cardiac contusion
Reduced if they share it.

“Being settled, an illusion” – that line blew me off. So true, but its not easy to get that! Brilliant poem! 🙂
